WOS 2023 Caregiver Grants + More Meeting Updates

Details on Caregiver Grants for WOS 2023 are now available on the meeting website! These need-based grants are intended to facilitate the participation of those with caregiving responsibilities (including but not limited to parents) in the meeting by helping offset caregiving-related expenses that might otherwise be prohibitive. Funds may be used in any manner to support dependent care—for example, to cover the cost of travel to the conference venue for an accompanying adult caregiver, the cost of dependent care at the conference venue, or the cost of additional dependent care at home during the conference. Applications are due March 1.

Although registration will not open until March, for those who like to plan ahead, we’ve posted a great deal of travel-related information to the meeting website in recent weeks as well. You can now view a schedule overview for the meeting, a list of field trips that will be offered, details on registration and lodging costs, and our COVID policy (masks and rapid tests will be provided again this year, with masks required in all indoor spaces). We have also opened our call for student volunteers (deadline April 15)—students can receive discount registration for the in-person meeting in exchange for volunteering a minimum of six hours of their time while there.

Remember, abstracts are due March 1. Whether you’ll be attending in person or virtually, we can’t wait to see you in June!
